There's a few weeks until Christmas, which means it's likely that your social calendar is fairly full of holiday parties. For the next little while every time you turn around you'll be mingling, dancing, and wishing everyone well. It's a lovely time, but it can get exhausting - especially when you have to come up with an assortment of hostess gifts, or if you're trying to organize your owns seasonal soiree amid the chaos. Lucky for you we've got what you need for either situation: a fun list of festive beverages you can serve or bring. These creative cocktails are just the thing to wow an entire party. From thrower to goer, you'll be the bringer of holiday cheers.

5. Mulled Wine - For your Dickensian Christmases. There's nothing quite as traditional as mulled wine, goose, and ghosts.

7. Two Turtle Doves - Grated white chocolate and coconut cream, this decadent cocktail isn't one to be overlooked.

8. Peppermint Mocha-Tini - Since it's peppermint and chocolate (a winning combination) this beverage is perfect before or after dinner!

Since it's holiday party season we've got to ask: do you have a lot of parties on your plate? Will you be hosting one of your own? Let us know and make sure to tell us which cocktail is your favorite  - we're crazy about the Partridge In A Pear Tree!

As you take the bus to work or grab a coffee from your favorite shop you may start to notice an increase in the amount of runny noses and hearty coughs you encounter. Whether it’s the guy you’re standing next to or the person taking your order, there are a lot of sick people about. Cold season is upon us. The dip in temperature combined with the beginning of one of the busiest times of the year, the holidays, seems to get many sick. If you’re an unfortunate member of this bunch, we’ve got something to help soothe your achy throat. Check out the recipe below, drink up, and take it easy.

What you'll need:
  • One lemon
  • Two teaspoons of cayenne pepper
  • Boiling water
  • One mug
How to make it:
  • Juice your lemon
  • Remove the seeds and add the juice to your mug
  • Stir in your cayenne pepper
  • Add your boiling water
  • Stir again
Why it works:
The cayenne pepper is rough, so it will cut up your throat. This allows the high concentrations of Vitamin C from your lemon to seep into your throat tissue. The hot water helps to dilute the concoction, and soothes your throat. We know this beverage doesn’t taste the best, but it will help to speed the recovery of your throat. Although there is no cure to the common cold, we encourage sufferers to drink lots of liquids and get plenty of rest.

Tip: Make sure to wash your hands regularly and cover your mouth when you cough to help limit the spread of your illness.

What do you eat or drink to help yourself feel better when you’re sick? Do you choose a classic like chicken noodle soup and ginger ale or is there a secret family recipe that you trust? Let us know below.
