Colors, fabrics, furniture … oh my!

Joy Perkins’ Touch of Class team continues to add the special touches to the interior of the Centerpiece Home at the 2014 Indianapolis Home Show.

The Centerpiece Home is being constructed by Fischer Homes. Check out the time lapse video of the progress on the Marshall design — which will have a styled exterior and interior living spaces offering rest and rejuvenation.

The interior design will show off a “fresh urban” theme throughout, including vibrant but muted colors, plenty of wood treatments and a master bedroom designed to be “tranquil and restful.”

Tapestry: Hand-painted canvas tapestry 80” W x 109” H that will be featured in the foyer.

Indianapolis Home Show Home: Visual Treats Bring “Fresh Urban” Theme

What’s in store for the interior of the Centerpiece Home at the 2014 Indianapolis Home Show? 

A lot!

Joy Perkins’ Touch of Class team is well on the way to creating a “fresh urban” theme throughout the Centerpiece Home, being constructed by Fischer Homes.

“I will be focusing on a variety of architectural details,” Perkins said. “Home Show attendees will be in for an unexpected visual treat, including beadboard and beamed ceilings, chevron hardwood floor inset patterns and crisp full-wall fireplace trim details.”

We even have a behind-the-scenes look at some of the items that will be used!

Hundreds of custom-designed furniture pieces and accessories are arriving daily for the Centerpiece.

A vintage treasure is being restored and refinished for the master bedroom.

Here’s a sneak peek at the “fresh urban” design that will be featured throughout the Centerpiece Home.

Indianapolis Home Show: Building the Marshall Centerpiece Home

Home Building in Progress

It takes more than just a month to build a home — or does it? You can watch as Fischer Homes builds the Centerpiece Home for the 2014 Indianapolis Home Show inside another building — in less than a month!

Designed and fully-constructed by the Fischer Homes team, the Centerpiece Home for the Home Show will be built entirely inside Exposition Hall at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.

Fischer Homes will be showcasing its Marshall design with a French Manor elevation. The home is more than 4,100 square feet, excluding the basement. The Marshall being constructed at the Home Show has four bedrooms and three and a half baths located on the main two levels of the home.

Interior designer Joy Perkins from Touch of Class will work with Christine Robbins of the Fischer Homes team in decorating the Centerpiece Home to showcase a variety of options for customizing the home interior. She plans to use a “Fresh Urban” theme throughout the home as well as beadboard and beamed ceilings and chevron hardwood floors.
