A previous post of the Home and Garden Events Facebook page asked fans if they "liked" avocados. Since the response overwhelmingly pro-avocado, I thought I should share some fun and delicious recipes with you.
Health Benefits of the Avocado
Source of Vitamin E - Great for maintaining overall health!
Lower Cholesterol - High in beta-sitosterol, a compound that has been shown to lower cholesterol levels.
Breast Cancer Protection - Avocado, is high in oleic acid, which many studies have shown prevents breast cancer.
Stroke Prevention - The high levels of folate in avocados also help to protect against strokes.
