In July Home and Garden Events asked Facebook fans to “like” a picture of sweet potato fries if they were fans of the amazing side dish. Over 100 people “liked” the picture; to me this ultimately showed a love and commitment to the sweet potato.
Sweet potatoes do have their health advantages:
- They are high in vitamin B6 & vitamin C
- They contain iron.
- They are a good source of magnesium (the ANTI-STRESS mineral)
- They are a good source of potassium
- Their rich orange colour indicates that they are high in carotenoids like beta carotene (good for anti-aging)
So, it is no wonder why these 3 recipes are being presented on Wellness Wednesday, enjoy!
