Alright, Vancouver Home + Design Show fans! We’ve announced Savour Thursday, featuring the debut of the Dessert Duel. We’ve plugged Style Friday, including a fabulous fashion show sponsored by Park Royal and Virgin 95.3. And, we’ve given you an advance look at Design Saturday, with opportunities to meet and greet the lovely ladies of the HGTV Main Stage: Jillian Harris, Janette Ewen and Maria Killam.

For those of you keeping track, that leaves Sunday, October 14 – and in keeping with our brand-new theme days, we’ve coined it Renovate Sunday. In celebration of all things DIY and home improvement, we’ve set an all-star line-up for the HGTV Main Stage, with presentations from power couple-slash-custom home builders Graeme & Tammy Huguet and small space authority Alykhan Velji, plus the marquee event: the reveal of the Ultimate Upcycle Challenge winner.

The Ultimate Upcycle Challenge is yet another new addition to the roster at this year’s Vancouver Home + Design Show. Presented by Habitat for Humanity Greater Vancouver and ReStore, the Ultimate Upcycle Challenge pits the city’s best-known design bloggers and tastemakers against each other in a battle of epic repurposing. From bookshelves and doors to tables and chairs, household classics will get turned on their collective heads in this no-holds-barred challenge for Vancouver’s most creative minds. Check out the entries at the Habitat for Humanity booth – not only will you get the chance to vote on your favourite entry at the show, but you can also bid on all items too! And remember, we’re also collecting funds for Habitat for Humanity Greater Vancouver with every online ticket sale. Every little bit helps this fabulous cause.

We’re in the midst of lining up an exciting list of participants for the Ultimate Upcycle Challenge – check back here often for the official announcement later this month. We can’t wait to launch this exciting new feature, and help raise awareness and funds for Habitat for Humanity Greater Vancouver.
