This year's Ace Hardware Paint Studio Lifestyle Stage at the Minneapolis Home + Garden Show is sure to be a crowd favorite with a jam-packed list of presenters. Attendees will see helpful presentations revolving around remodeling, interior design and landscaping, budget saving tips, DIY ideas, and education from local speakers and national celebrities. The Ace Hardware Paint Studio Lifestyle Stage is designed by Jaque Bethke of Pure Design Environments and is not to be missed. Jaque will also take to the stage to share her expertise on colors trends for your home design.
Here are a few highlights you can look forward to on the stage:
The Minneapolis Home + Garden Show takes over the Minneapolis Convention Center February 25 - March 1, 2015. MARCH 25 - FEBRUARY 1, 2015.
Here are a few highlights you can look forward to on the stage:
- Move that bus! Ty Pennington will be charming show-goers as he takes the stage Saturday at 11am. You can expect to be entertained and informed as this DIY superstar from TLC's Trading Spaces, ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, and TNT's On The Menu, make his first visit to the Minneapolis Home + Garden Show. Ty is presented by Wings Financial Credit Union.
- Twin Cities Live will be broadcasting live for the third year in a row on Thursday at 3pm - Megan Newquist will fill-in for Elizabeth Reis who is on maternity leave. Megan joins TCL co-host Steve Patterson in providing helpful tips and chatting with experts.
- New York Farm Boys, Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Dr. Brent Ridge, are the force behind the Cooking Channel's The Fabulous Beekman Boys, and lifestyle brand Beekman: 1802. The boys will be guests on Twin Cities Live Thursday and will present on the Ace Hardware Paint Studio Lifestyle Stage at 7pm that night, as well as Friday at 2pm and 6pm.
- DIY blog lovers will be thrilled to hear home decoration and organization expert, Ursula Carmona, tell how she beautifies her home (sometimes with spray paint and glitter). Catch Ursula Saturday at 7pm and Sunday at 11am and 3pm.
- Once again, our "Man on the Avenue" Products expert Sasha Andreev will give us the inside scoop on the best new products of 2015. Visit "Innovation Avenue LIVE" on the Ace Hardware Paint Studio Lifestyle Stage on Wednesday at 7pm, Saturday at 5pm, and Sunday at 2pm.
- Internationally-recognized design/build contractor and Canadian television personality, Ramsin Khachi will share the latest in luxury decorating trends and how to apply them to your home. Presented by Cambria. See Ramsin Friday at 4pm and Saturday at 2pm.

We're thrilled to have nationally recognized design/build contractor and Canadian television personality, Ramsin Khachi, joining us at The Great Big Home + Garden Show. Ramsin is renowned for generating creative solutions to problems facing the modern-day client. This design expert helps others achieve timeless, elegant, and uniquely customized spaces. We caught up with Ramsin briefly before the show and asked for his take on today's design trends. Read on and his enjoy his interesting perspective.
Today we are continually bombarded with trends and fads driven by the media's recurrent pursuit of new content. It's a persistent process that can ultimately leave us questioning our investments and improvements in our homes. If I had to believe heavily in design trends, I'd say the hottest trend today is to not be trendy. The vast amount of design content available to us in the media and online has made us more confident as consumers and puts us more in touch with and makes us more proud of our personal tastes and styles. We're not afraid to make our spaces reflect our own personalities.
What I do strongly believe in is lifestyle trends. Our lifestyles have changed greatly in the past several decades. We lead busy lives, we travel more, we entertain differently, and the last thing we'd want is a home that takes up any of our most precious commodity: time. We want spaces that enhance our lifestyles - like separate mudrooms and laundry rooms, wine cellars, media rooms, useable garages, and innovative storage spaces. We look for products that work for us so that we don't find ourselves constantly working around an item's limitations. Products that can deliver performance like Cambria's non-staining and durable Quartz countertops, Schulter's superior shower waterproofing system, or Blum's ingenious cabinet hardware.
In the future, I look forward to builder's fulfilling our needs better and creating homes that meet our current and future demands. Homes that are better built, more conductive to current lifestyles, and homes that help us enjoy living our lives rather than creating more work for us.

The 2015 Great Big Home + Garden Show presented by Carrier kicks off today! With more than 1,000 home industry experts under one roof and more than 600 exhibits to explore you won't want to miss this year's show being held at the Cleveland I-X center until February 15.

Some of this year's great features include:
- The popular Garden Showcase, Cleveland Rocks-Themed gardens created by some of Northeast Ohio's top landscapers. These gardens will represent some of Cleveland's hottest locations in the city.
- A 2,400 square-foot, fully-constructed Idea Home, built by Blossom Homes and sponsored by Sherwin-Williams, Cleveland Magazine, and Ohio Magazine, will inspire visitors with ideas for building, remodeling, and decorating their own homes. A Cedar Brooke Home, built by Weaver Barns, will also provide extra inspiration if you're looking for a great vacation home.
- The 1,500 square-foot Xtend Technologies' High-Tech Entertainment Home will inspire visitors with ideas for their own indoor/outdoor entertainment and recreation areas. Sponsored by Sherwin-Williams, Cleveland Magazine, and Ohio Magazine, this one-of-a-kind living space will feature the latest in technology from Xtend Technologies and a custom in-ground pool built by Cleveland Aqua Pros.
- The combined Main Stage and Loretta Paganini Cooking Stage will be bigger than ever to offer attendees the best in home improvement celebrity appearances with the opportunity to taste and enjoy culinary delights in one convenient location.

- As a proud member of America's favorite home improvement team since 1986, general contractor Tom Silva has provided years of expert advice to home enthusiasts across the country on This Old House. He also brings his endless expertise to This Old House's sister show, Ask This Old House. Presented by GMC, Tom will be appearing on the Main Stage on Saturday, Feb 7.
- Returning as this year's Main Stage emcee, Matt Fox will delight show visitors with his quick wit, home improvement knowledge, and special educational presentations. Fox is best known for creating and co-hosting the first and longest-running show to air on HGTV, Room By Room, as well as hosting and producing the public television series Around The House With Matt And Shari.

The first-ever Cleveland Home + Remodeling Expo kicks off today at the Cleveland Convention Center with new and
innovative trends and products in home remodeling and design!
The excitement begins on The Main
Stage at 1 p.m. with a presentation on “Great Weekend Projects” from the Main
Stage Emcee Matt Fox, co-host of HGTV’s Room
by Room and host and producer of the public television series Around the House with Matt and Shari.
You can catch him again at 4 p.m.
Next, stick around for Metro Home’s presentation
on “Modern Design, Classic and Timeless” at 2 p.m., followed by John Hall discussing
“25 Design Tips Toward that Perfect Kitchen” at 3 p.m.
Later on the Main Stage, don’t miss
home and remodeling celebrities! Presented by Cambria, Ramsin Khachi, the internationally recognized
design/build contractor and Canadian television personality, will appear on the
Main Stage at 5 p.m., followed by Nicole Curtis, Host
of DIY Network and HGTV’s Rehab Addict,
at 6 p.m.
Wrapping
up the presentations for today is Jim Price from Refrigeration Sales Corp.,
discussing “Home Energy Management and Maintenance” at 7 p.m.
Highlights
on the Main Stage Saturday include another presentation from Ramsin Khachi at 3
p.m. and Nicole Curtis at noon and 4 p.m. Also, known most recently for his
work on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,
charismatic home design guru Ty Pennington,
presented by Carrier, will appear on the Main Stage at 1 p.m.! An autograph
session will follow.
In addition to these scheduled events, be sure to tour the Perrino Vignettes created by Perrino Builders & Furniture that will inspire you with ways to remodel
your kitchen, create your own pub or wine bar, or design a home theater! The Ultimate Garage, created by EncoreGarage of Ohio,
will also inspire visitors with ideas on how to reclaim your space and make it
your own. And you’ll want to be sure to check out the two CristalBubble’s by CasaBubble.
These totally transparent huts create an ideal outdoor living space and are
furnished and decorated by Levin Furniture!
